Nathalie Emmanuel
Nathalie Emmanuel, a British actor best known for her role as Missandei (HBO's fantasy epic Game of Thrones) from 2011 to 2019 in the role of a British actor. Emmanuel is a native of England, born in and raised in Southend-on-the-Sea in Essex's famous seaside town, has always been interested in performing. She was noticed by her mother that she was a performer, and at the age of Nathalie was just three years old, her parents began enrolling her in dance, acting and singing classes. Emmanuel was quickly developing as a actor and, by the time she reached her late teens, she was playing young Nala in The West End show of the highly acclaimed show "The The Lion King." Emmanuel auditioned for roles in film and television when she was a teenager. In 2007, she landed her first major role when she was cast as Sasha Valentine in the British soap opera Hollyoaks (Channel 4 1995-). Emmanuel performed the role for a period of four years, before quitting Hollyoaks by the year 2010. Emmanuel got her first break on HBO "Game of Thrones" after three years, as Missandei. The role of Missandei is the interpreter of Daenerys Targaryen's character (portrayed by Emilia Clarke). Emmanuel would go on to play the role for each successive seasons of "Game of Thrones"" right up until the season's finale in the month of May, 2019.
