Agnetha Faltskog
Agnetha is better known due to her role in ABBA instead of as a solo artist in Sweden. ABBA was one of the largest pop group of all-time, both commercially and globally. Her departure from school was to explore music at the age of 15 and soon earned a following. She was able to secure a recording contract by Enghardt and the debut single topped the charts in Sweden. Bjornulvaeus, who she later married was her husband as she joined ABBA. ABBA was one of top pop stars across the globe during the 8-year span. The group was awarded Gold and Platinum awards all over the globe. She released three albums after ABBA which included 'Wrap Your Arms Around Me,' 'Eyes of a Woman as well as I Stand Alone,' that were each extremely successful in Sweden in addition to gaining popularity in Europe and the U.K., however, not so in the U.S. ABBA music became the base for a jukebox show called Mamma Mia!. Her album 'My Coloring Books was a huge success, reaching number 11 in charts for the UK and was released after the singer had retired from retirement. Her new album "A," has received a positive reception.
